I want to extend my current subscription using a gift card. How is the new subscription end date calculated?

When you use a gift card to extend your subscription, it adds extra time to your current plan. How exactly this works depends on the value of the gift card and your current subscription plan:

Same plan: If the gift card is for the same plan you already have, it is extended for one year.

Higher-tier plan: If the gift card is for a higher-tier plan, the system first calculates the remaining value of your current subscription. Then it combines that with the gift card’s value to determine the duration of your plan.

For example, your current is 100 GB plan, which costs 24 EUR per year, with 2 months left. That means the remaining value of your current plan is 4 EUR. You then redeem a gift card for the 250 GB plan, which costs 48 EUR per year. The system first combines the value of your gift card with the remaining value of your current subscription. In this case, that is 48 EUR + 4 EUR = 52 EUR in total value. This total is then converted into time for the 250 GB plan. Since the 250 TB plan costs 48 EUR per year, 52 EUR corresponds to 13 months of the 250 GB plan. As a result, your account will upgrade to 250 GB plan and your subscription will remain active for 13 months. After this period ends, your account will return to the free plan if you don’t renew your subscription.
