Does Koofr offer Two-Factor Authentication?
Yes, Koofr offers two-factor authentication (also known as 2-step verification or 2FA), a security feature designed to enhance account security. When signing in to your Koofr account, you'll need to provide your password along with a second factor.
Koofr provides two options for this second factor:
- you can use a Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) Authentication app (such as Google Authenticator, Twilio Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator, etc.), which generates a 6-digit code, or
- a Passkey — a physical device for authentication (such as Yubikey, etc.), your biometrics, your smart devices, or your device’s/computer’s PIN.
To prevent being locked out of your account in case you lose your phone and recovery codes, you can add multiple second factors.
Note: Save your two-step recovery codes in a safe place. They are the only way for you to regain access to your account if you cannot access your second factor. For security reasons, our support team cannot restore access to accounts with two-factor authentication enabled. Therefore, you will permanently lose access to your Koofr account without your two-factor recovery codes.
