How can I enable Two-Factor Authentication with a Passkey on Windows?
- Open the Koofr web app and click on Preferences in the Account menu.
- In the left menu, select 2-Factor Authentication.
- Click on the Add Passkey button.
- To verify access to your Koofr account, enter your password in the Password field and click Continue.
- Name your Passkey and click on Create Passkey.
- A Windows security window will open, allowing you to choose where to save your passkey. You can select your Windows device, iPhone, iPad or Android device, or a physical security key.
If you choose your Windows device, you will be prompted to enter your device’s PIN or use your fingerprint/face ID (Windows Hello). Once created, click on Continue. Save your two-factor recovery codes in a secure location before proceeding. Click Add to finalize the setup. After that, you can use your Windows Hello as the second factor for authentication.
If you choose your iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you will need to scan a QR code with your device. Your passkey will then be saved on your device, and you can use your device to sign in to your Koofr account. You will see that your key has been created. Click on Continue. Save your two-factor recovery codes in a secure location before proceeding. Click Add to finalize the setup. After that, you can use your device as the second factor for authentication.
If you choose a security key (physical device), you will need to create a Security PIN, then click Continue. Next, insert your key and touch it.
