How do I share files from my iOS device?

Sharing a file allows the selected people to access the files you give them access to. To share a file, long-press the file or tap on the three-dot icon on the right side of the file and select Share from the drop-down menu. You can select your preferred method of sharing out with Add people and Send link options.

Add People option:

  • Press Add people to add people with whom you want to share the file
  • In the User email field, type an e-mail address of the person you want to share file with or select a person from the drop-down menu by typing in their name
  • In the same window, you can set the permissions you want to give to a person while sharing the file. Toggle the switch next to the permission you want to set for a specific person.
  • Press Add to start sharing the file
  • You can add multiple people you want to share with, by pressing the Add button on the top right side of the screen, for each individual person you wish to add. Note: You can share files with anyone. Non-members will be automatically invited to join Koofr.

Send link option:

  • Press Send link to create a download link, which allows third parties to download files from your Koofr even if they are not a Koofr user.
  • When you tap on the link, it will already be copied to clipboard.
  • In the same window, you can enable or disable the link’s password protection, set the expiration date of the link(if you do not set the expiration date, the link will remain valid for one week), edit short URL and add a custom message to your sharing link. You can also hide download button, see how many times your link was opened or remove the link. Note: With this option, you can also share the files with people who don’t have registered Koofr accounts. This is read-only access; others cannot upload files through these links. Note: Editing the short URL and adding a custom message are only available in the paid Koofr accounts.
